Hello and welcome to the next stop on the 2011 Hero Arts Catalog Blog Hop! I hope you're enjoying the hop so far!
Today I'm going to show you how you can use these four stamps from the NEW 2011 Hero Arts Catalog...
...to create a set of simple, colorful thank you cards that would be perfect for gift giving! Tuck six or so of these into a glassine bag, tie with ribbon, and you have a quick yet thoughtful gift.
These come together so easily! Here's a closer look at some of the yummy new stamps I used...
- The flower and leaves are from the new clear set called Blossom Art (CL495) -- definitely a colorer's dream! Here I colored very simply by applying Distress Inks directly to a piece of watercolor paper, misting with water, and then applying darker ink around the edges.
- That fabulous text stamped on the card base is a cling background that will cover an entire card front in one shot. I will use this one a bunch. Thank You Definition (CG268), I thank you for coming into my life. :) Here I stamped the text vertically for something unexpected.
- The Edged Fabric with Flowers (CG247) is so sweet with its dainty floral floral pattern and pinked edges. Looks great tone on tone. Next time I want to try stamping it on fabric or canvas for a textured look.
- And finally, the sentiment comes from an awesome trio of clings called Friends & Treasures (CG277). I just love mixed font designs and these are bold enough to stand alone. It was love at first sight! Birthday and friendship messages round out this set that may never leave my desktop.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Remember, Hero Arts is giving away lots of fabulous 2011 stamps and all you need to do to enter is comment on any of the 24 participating blogs, including mine! More comments = more chances to win!
Next up is the blog of the fabulously talented Kristina Werner. Her designs always knock my socks off and I can't wait to see what she's done with the new stamps!
Happy hopping and happy weekend, everyone!
