clean & simple card making giveaway winner

Merry Christmas Eve!

Thanks to everyone who entered the Clean & Simple Card Making giveaway! I apologize for the delay in getting back to the blog to announce the winner. My daughter drew a number on Wednesday night and the lucky one is...
...Devon! (December 19, 2011 12:10 PM) "Oooh! I would just love a chance to win! So many favorite Christmas treats, but I've been making this amazing baked brie lately that is going to have to stay a holiday only recipe, or I'm going to be the size of a house! Puff pastry, brie, apple compote, and homemade caramel sauce... who knew you could make a pie with cheese?"
Congrats, Devon! I've emailed you. I hope you enjoy Clean & Simple Card Making!

Wishing you all peace, love & much happiness. Merry Christmas!

giveaway! clean & simple card making

Hello! I have a giveaway for you today -- a spot in Clean & Simple Card Making, courtesy of the sweet gals behind the class! Have you heard about it...?

Join Kristina Werner, Jennifer McGuire and special guest teacher Julie Ebersole for Clean & Simple Card Making!

In this class we aim to take the mystery out of creating a minimalist card that looks “complete,” and wow you with numerous tips and techniques for clean and simple cards!  This upbeat and inspirational class will include nine fabulous guest artists (including me!), discounts to our favorite retailers, giveaways and a few surprises along the way!  Clean and Simple Card Making will feature over 25 new card ideas and over 15 instructional videos.  What better way to start the new year than with a wealth of new ideas to add to your card making arsenal and simplify your creations!

Class is January 9-23, 2012, but class materials (videos, pdfs, etc.) will be accessible for a lifetime. Click HERE for an introduction video and more info!

As a huge fan of clean & simple design, the class description alone makes me weak in the knees. 15 videos? Hello! I'm counting down the days. :)

So would you like to win a spot in class? To enter, simply leave a comment here by Wednesday, December 21st at midnight CST. Just for fun, if you'd like to tell me your favorite holiday treat, I'd love to hear! The winner will be randomly chosen and posted on December 22nd. Good luck!

I wish you the happiest of holidays and hope you're enjoying the season!

hero arts 2012 catalog blog hop

Hi there! Welcome to the next stop on the Hero Arts 2012 Catalog Blog Hop!

I just love catalog release time...nothing like new stamps to spark some creativity! Today's hop celebrates the Catalog Debut, and tomorrow stores around the world will be starting to kick off their preview party events. So much fun! These stores will be the first to have the newest 2012 Hero Arts stamps! (Check for locations here.)

Now onto my project! Today I'm sharing a pair of simple, colorful cards that could be given as Valentines or just to send a little sweetness any day of the year.

Did you spot the new background? It's CG422 Zig Zag. YUM. One of my new favorites! It's stamped with Hero Arts Soft Sand Shadow Ink onto an off-white letterpress notecard.

Those fun hearts come from the CG426 Four Hearts Cling set. I added a touch of faux stitching with black pen to the edges, and one heart on each card is lifted with foam adhesive.

Here's a look at all three of the new stamps I used on my cards. They're already arriving in stores, and will available in the Hero Arts Online Store on January 5th along with many, many more!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Remember, Hero Arts is having FIVE giveaways that include lots of brand spankin' new 2012 stamps and all you need to do to enter is comment on any of the participating blogs, including mine! More comments = more chances to win! And if you don't have time to do the entire hop today? No worries. You have until Monday, December 12 at midnight PST to hop and comment.

Next up is the blog of the fabulously talented Cristina Kowalczyk -- click on over to see what she's created with some of the new stamps!

Happy hopping and happy holidays, everyone!
